My name's Neetu Garcha, welcome to my blog! I was born and raised in the beautiful city of Penticton, BC after my parents immigrated to Canada from India when they were in their mid twenties. I grew up in a very multicultural, dynamic and supportive household.
After graduating from high school, I discovered my passion for public speaking, volunteerism and traveling. When I was researching where to go and what to do after high-school, this little voice in my head kept telling me that home is where the heart is. I knew I wanted to stay close to where my heart is, so I obtained my bachelor's degree in Marketing from UBC Okanagan in Kelowna and went back to Penticton as often as I could. Throughout my degree, I met amazing people and built lasting relationships, I gained unparalleled experiences including studying abroad in Europe and volunteering in Haiti. I graduated with nothing but incredible experiences to look back on, knowing that the best has yet to come.
After a summer of working in the Okanagan Valley, I moved to the Vancouver area and started the two year broadcast journalism program at BCIT. I look forward to working hard and playing harder; this is the first two years of the rest of my life.
